Cahill Jewelers began in 1930, by Burke and Annie Cahill, in the back room of Tallarico Appliance. They later moved to their own location at 507 Main Street. Hugh and Marge Pribyl purchased the business and building in 1969. Their son, Mike Pribyl, practically grew up in the store and joined the business in 1980, adding the Pribyl name, creating Cahill-Pribyl Jewelry & Gifts. This location burnt to the ground, along with four other businesses on Main Street on a cold day in December, 1985. Mike and Lisa rebuilt to the current location at 511 Main Street. Also being raised in the business, their daughter, Amy Pribyl Mefford, went to jewelry school and and has been the bench jeweler since 2014.
Today, Lisa and Amy carry on the family business offering our community an extensive fine jewelry and giftware selection. We have always believed in investing our money in inventory and truly believe we have something for everyone. We are a small but mighty store with an in-house repair department, custom jewelry design, engraving, ear piercing, and permanent jewelry. Wrapped packages with our sticker on them have become a tradition for many families.
Our mascot, Leo, along with all of us are happy to meet you and build a relationship at 511 Main Street, Keokuk, IA., Under The Red Awnings!
